Police in New Hampshire say two muscle cars that were stolen from a dealership in Exeter were recovered in Boston.Exeter police said that shortly after 7:30 a.m. Saturday, Foss Motors reported that a white 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Widebody and a red 2021 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat were stolen from the lot of their dealership on Portsmouth Avenue. According to police, the two stolen cars are valued at more than $76,000 each.Foss Motors representatives called police after surveillance video from the overnight hours showed two suspects exit a newer model Jeep Grand Cherokee in the dealership's parking lot and head toward the cars.It also appears the suspects may have tried to steal a third muscle car, a 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody, because police said that vehicle had a shattered driver's side rear window.Police said the suspects did not have keys to the stolen cars, so they may have used an electronic device to get into them and start them.During their investigation, Exeter police officers learned that Boston police were called to the Hilton Boston Back Bay hotel shortly after 3:15 a.m. Saturday after an employee reported seeing a Dodge Challenger drive through a parking garage gate.Security personnel at the Hilton told police that they saw three unknown men dressed in black enter the parking garage adjacent to the hotel. A short time later, one of those men approached them and told them that he had delivered food to the hotel and was not going to pay the fee to get out of the garage. Security said that after they told the man the charge could not be reversed, he and another person drove through the gate and fled.Boston police told Exeter police that the Dodge Challenger was later located in the nearby Hynes Auditorium Parking Garage, which is less than 300 feet away from the Hilton hotel.Boston police also informed Exeter police that the Dodge Charger was found in a Sheraton hotel parking garage with a stolen Massachusetts commercial license plate.No arrests have been made in connection with the vehicle thefts.Exeter police said the case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call 603-772-1212.
